Therapies
Different approaches. One therapeutic relationship.
There is no single approach to psychotherapy that suits everyone.
Each person brings their own experiences, relationships, challenges, and goals into therapy. My work draws from several therapeutic approaches, allowing the process to develop in a way that reflects your individual needs rather than following a fixed method.
Whether we are exploring long-standing emotional patterns, processing traumatic experiences, or simply creating space to think more clearly, the focus remains the same: helping you better understand yourself and move towards meaningful change.

Understanding different therapeutic approaches
People often ask what type of therapy they need.
In truth, many people do not know before they begin, and they do not need to.
Different therapeutic approaches offer different ways of understanding emotional wellbeing. Some explore present difficulties, while others look more deeply at earlier experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns.
Rather than asking you to fit into one model, I use an integrative approach that allows therapy to adapt to you.
The Therapies I Offer
My work integrates several therapeutic approaches, allowing the process to be adapted to your individual experiences, needs, and goals.
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Exploring how past experiences and unconscious patterns continue to shape present life.
EMDR Therapy
Supporting the processing of traumatic memories and emotionally distressing experiences.
Integrative Psychotherapy
Drawing from different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs.
Attachment-Based Therapy
Exploring how early relationships influence emotional wellbeing and connection with others.

Which therapy is right for me?
This is one of the most common questions people ask.
The answer is usually not as straightforward as choosing one type of therapy over another.
Many therapeutic approaches naturally overlap, and it is common for sessions to draw upon different ideas as therapy develops.
During an initial consultation we will discuss what has brought you to therapy, your hopes for the process, and the approach that feels most appropriate.
You do not need to decide this on your own.
An individual approach
Although the therapies listed above each have their own principles, they all share a common purpose.
To provide a thoughtful, collaborative, and confidential space where lasting change can happen.
Collaboration
Working together rather than directing you.
Curiosity
Exploring experiences with openness rather than judgement.
Growth
Creating opportunities for meaningful personal development.
Understanding
Looking beyond symptoms to understand the whole person.

Working together
My practice is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy and informed by attachment theory, Transactional Analysis, Jungian psychology, trauma-informed practice, and EMDR.
Rather than following a rigid framework, I integrate these approaches thoughtfully, allowing therapy to develop around your individual experiences and goals.
Every therapeutic relationship is unique.
That is one of the strengths of psychotherapy.

FAQ'S - Therapies
Do I need to choose a therapy before I contact you?
No. Many people are unsure which approach is most appropriate. We can discuss this together during an initial consultation.
Can different therapy approaches be combined?
Yes. My work is integrative, which means different approaches may be used where they feel appropriate and beneficial.
Is one type of therapy better than another?
Not necessarily. Different approaches suit different people and different situations. The most appropriate therapy depends on your experiences, goals, and what feels comfortable for you.
Do all clients receive the same type of therapy?
No. Therapy is tailored to the individual rather than following a standard programme.
Can I change approach during therapy?
Yes. As therapy develops, different approaches may become more appropriate. This flexibility is one of the strengths of an integrative way of working.
Finding the right approach starts with a conversation
Beginning therapy does not require you to know exactly what you need.
Together we can explore what has brought you here and consider which therapeutic approach may best support your journey.
